As Engineering Manager (f/m/x), you lead from the front setting the pace for technical excellence, ownership, and delivery. You build and grow a strong team, raise the bar through coaching and clear expectations, and create an environment where great engineers thrive.You stay close to the technology and drive key technical decisions: architecture, system design, and critical implementation work when it matters. You work tightly with Product, Data, and Design to turn ambitious goals into execution that’s fast, scalable, and reliable.

This role is for someone who wants to build high-performing teams and systems, taking pride in shipping results that perform reliably at scale. If you’re energized by complex systems, high traffic, data-driven decisions, and tackling challenging problems, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Own

Team leadership & culture
You lead a cross-functional engineering team, providing both disciplinary and technical leadership. You mentor engineers, support their development, and help shape team structure and growth. You foster a strong engineering culture focused on quality, ownership, and continuous improvement, championing agile practices and efficient delivery processes.
Hands-on engineering & technical direction
You actively contribute to system design, critical code paths, and technical problem solving. You translate product and business requirements into clear technical direction, guiding your team to deliver high-quality solutions across backend, frontend, and infrastructure.
Reliability, performance & scalability
You own the reliability, security, and performance of services running on a globally distributed cloud platform (AWS, Kubernetes). You monitor and optimize services and infrastructure with a focus on scalability, cost efficiency, and operational excellence, while driving expansion into new regions and evolving architectures as the platform scales.
Cross-functional collaboration & delivery
You collaborate closely with Product, Design, Data Engineering, and BI teams to deliver solutions aligned with business goals. You encourage teamwork and shared ownership to consistently meet project milestones while maintaining technical excellence.

Your profile

Proven engineering & leadership experience
Several years of experience building and shipping production systems as a software engineer, with demonstrated success leading engineers and owning both delivery and team development.
Hands-on technical expertise
Comfort staying close to technical details while operating at a system and product level. Experience across backend, frontend, and infrastructure, with hands-on experience building and operating cloud-based services in production. Practical experience with modern web and service technologies such as Python, Golang, JavaScript, FastAPI, and Vue.js.
Distributed systems & data-driven mindset
Experience running distributed systems at scale in production and working in data-driven product teams that leverage metrics and experimentation to guide decisions.
Collaboration & problem-solving
Strong collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to bring structure to ambiguous problems and turn them into concrete solutions. Comfortable working in fast-changing environments and solving problems without textbook answers.
Motivation & ownership
You are motivated to build high-quality systems while growing strong, effective engineering teams.
Nice to have
Experience with mobile technologies such as Flutter or React Native
Experience working in consumer products or gaming-related environments
